      Fair Trade /Ethical Shops

Can I just say the pages will take a few seconds to load because of the amount of products I have brought together .

Please be patient it will be worth it to you and to the people we are trying to help

What I found when I started looking to buy Fair Trade or Ethical  goods was that I seemed to be spending a lot of time on the internet trying to find what I was looking for.

I could find Fair Trade shops but if I was looking for Fair Trade coffee for instance  they would be selling Fair Trade clothes

I searched Fair Trade shops , Fair Trade goods and Fair Trade products and yes what I wanted was there but in amongst all sorts of other  items on Fair Trade.

So just to make life a bit easier for those buying fair trade products as well as those producing the fair trade goods .I have brought together links to many Fair Trade shops that sell the Fair Trade goods we are looking to buy.

UK estimated retail sales of Fair trade products reach half a billion pounds as Fair trade Foundation calls on business and the public to step up pace of change

Sales of Fair trade products in 2007, announced to coincide with the beginning of Fair trade Fortnight (25 February – 9 March 2008) set a new pace for international trade. As events to kick start the two-week annual campaign entitled Change Today. Choose Fair trade take place across the UK today, the Fair trade Foundation reveals an increase of estimated retail sales of Fair trade products to £493m, a staggering 92% increase on 2006 sales of £273m. Sales have been increasing by over 40 percent year-on-year since 2002.

  • Fair trade bananas are the best selling Fair trade product with sales topping £150m, an increase of 130%. 1 in 4 bananas sold are now Fair trade and we eat 3m Fair trade bananas a day
  • Fair trade coffee sales rose 24% to over £117m
  • Items made with Fair trade certified cotton increased from over half a million to just under 9.5m units
  • Fair trade tea rose 24% to just over £30m. And recent commercial developments mean Fair trade tea should account for a tenth of tea sold in the UK by the end of 2008
